An Italian summer table set for aperitivo is the motif of this painting. Aperitivo is the Italian custom of a drink with small bites before dinner. Bars and dining rooms suit it.
The oil paint is built up in thick impasto layers, so the food stands out from the surface as a physical relief. The painting is by Ukrainian artist Christina Kunanets. It is an original and exists only once.
The painting measures 71 x 71 cm (28 x 28 in) and is about 1.5 cm (0.6 in) deep. It is painted on canvas. The finished surface is protected with a varnish.
