Fairy bread with rainbow sprinkles, the Australian party snack, is the motif of this painting. In Australia the sprinkles are known as hundreds and thousands. A playful piece for a children's kitchen corner or a bakery.
The oil paint is built up in thick impasto layers, so the food stands out from the surface as a physical relief. The painting is by Ukrainian artist Christina Kunanets. It is an original and exists only once.
The painting measures 41 x 41 cm (16 x 16 in) and is about 1.5 cm (0.6 in) deep. It is painted on a round stretched canvas. The finished surface is protected with a varnish.
